My name is Carl Wright LRPS and I am a Photography Teacher / Photographer based in Solihull in the West Midlands. I been teaching photography professionally for the few years, mainly teaching Jessops training courses. I also have Licentiateship from the Royal Photographic Society.
My first memories of photography are when my mom let me use her AGFA film camera at the age of eight. I found pressing the big red button on top of the camera very exiting… enthusiasm that is still going strong more than three decades later
As a dedicated photographer I love taking the type of pictures that many people enjoy such as my children, scenes around Great Britain or wildlife in the local park. We all love holidays in far of lands but photography skills & techniques can be developed in your back garden so I beleive this is as good a place to start
While running training courses for Jessops I have developed a great deal of understanding of how different peoples photography training needs can be, so I am please to also offer personalised one to one camera training as well as running the Jessops Training Academy courses
I have also been an active member of South Birmingham Photographic Society for the last few years
I honestly believe that photography is "art for everyone" and while I can’t draw & I can’t paint, I can take a photo that I am proud to hang on the wall. I have a strong belief that while photography is more difficult than we think it is, by getting the basics right & with enough practice we can all take some great images!
I am based in Solihull in the West Midlands but I am willing to travel within a 100 mile radius, so Manchester, London, Bristol and everthing in between is available. I also holiday in the South West so Devon & Cornwall are also covered available locations at certain times of the year
